About Brian Divelbiss
I grew up in a small town in the Heartland aspiring to be a physician. Now, nearly 20 years into my practice as a hand surgeon, I realize that somewhere along the way I lost my connection to the joy of creating. Over the past five years, I have rediscovered that creative spark that resides in all of us and have married that to my passion for travel. I am so grateful for my wonderful wife, Karen, and children, Andie and Ben, as they have made the best companions for my journey.
Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. It rekindles a sense of wonder in the world and an understanding of our deep connections to one another. I am committed to experiencing the personal transformation that happens when finding myself in new places. Through my travel photography and stories I hope to embody the words of Marcel Proust, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes but in having new eyes.”
Join me in looking at the world and our connections with new eyes.
