About Brian Divelbiss
I grew up in a small town in Iowa aspiring to be a doctor. After serving as a physician in the US Army, I eventually found my way to Kansas City to build a practice. Well into my busy career as a hand surgeon, I realized that somewhere along my journey I had lost the connection to the joy of creating. Over the past 10 years, I have rediscovered that creative spark that resides in all of us and have melded my passions for travel and photography into an integral component of who I have become.
Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. It rekindles a sense of wonder in the world and an understanding of our deep connections to one another. I am committed to experiencing the personal transformation that happens when finding myself in new spaces. Through my travel photography and stories I hope to embody the words of Marcel Proust, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes but in having new eyes.”
Join me in looking at the world and our connections with new eyes.
