Opera House Redux
Sydney, Australia
One of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings, the Sydney Opera House occupies the whole of Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, but completed by an Australian architectural team headed up by Peter Hall, the building was formally opened on 20 October 1973. In this selection, I was looking to find a more abstract composition of the building that would be recognizable to some but have a bit of mystery for others. The graceful curving lines throughout the structure provide for lots of photographic options. Photo © copyright by Brian Divelbiss.
